Rust Blaster

    Rust Blaster is manga written by Yana Toboso, she also authors yaoi manga under the name, Rock Yanao (簗緒ろく Yanao Rock, Yanao Roku). She also the one who written manga titled Kuroshitsuji or known as Black Butler.

Rust Blaster Synopsis :

  

     Aldred, is the adopted son of the headmaster of a vampire school and is said to be the most unlikely vampire at the Millennium Academy and a failure as well, as he is the only vampire there to not have a Lineage Weapon, which all vampires are born with. Nonetheless his friends among his team, which he leads, have seen his dedication and genius, so they all respect him.

     Vampires live peacefully alongside humans, and they drink provided fake blood for survival. One day, Kei, a quiet and mysterious human transfer student, appears and joins Aldred's team of vampires. When the moon begins to "split into two", announcing the end of the world, a small group of vampires attack the students, and quickly overpowering them. Kei tells Aldred “ if you want to protect your friend then suck my blood and you’ll gain power”. Aldred, who hates blood desperately suck this mysterious human’s blood in order to help his friend.Once this happens, Kei's body becomes the Holy Lance that was sealed within him, and Aldred becomes the lance-bearer.

      After the villainous vampires are slain, Kei's body back to normal and Aldred faints from exhaustion. Aldred's father then reveals that the students have to protect the 'Gates' that keep a seal on the barrier, which locked away the sinful vampires of 1000 years ago who tried to wipe out the human race, and the vampires in present day that would want to unlock the gates, like the group that had attacked them earlier. Aldred has to continually suck Kei's blood in order to use the Holy Lance, and fight the vampires, who are stronger than most of the other students, cause’ they drink real blood.

     Over time, Kei's body begins to be broken down by the Lance, until his body will become the Lance itself. Aldred's body also reacts, and he becomes more like the enemies that he is fighting, desiring blood in order to become stronger, and slowly losing his human instincts.

     Within two weeks, two agents from the land of the vampires, Six and Seven, attack the land in hopes of summoning their home and to gain their revenge. Three days before the moon completely split up, Seven appears before the school and bites Six, who becomes his weapon just as Kei becomes Aldred's. Aldred and Kei decide to fight together for one last time, but Aldred immediately becomes fierce and loses control. He quickly wins the battle, and is about kill Six and Seven before Kei stops him, allowing him to regain his sanity.

     However, it was too late as the seal was already half broken. The vampires from the other side of the barrier attempt to break through, and while everyone panics, considering what they should do , Aldred simply gathers himself and leaves to "defeat them". Despite the protests of his teammates, Aldred says that he fears his own vampiric instincts that are uncovering, and leaves anyways.

      Years later, the team meet together to see how each other are doing, and it is revealed that research is being done into removing the lance from Kei's body. As they talk, an image of Aldred's back seems to appear before them; and Kei runs out of his wheelchair in tears.
